I wasn’t sure what I wanted my first blog to be about, but since I can only imagine what some of my former colleagues and peers from Corporate America are thinking amidst their eye rolls, I knew I wanted to expose them to some fundamental truths about the world of energy healing and transformation (if they found their way here that is).
The concept that everything is energy, and everything is connected, is not a new one. It has been widely accepted and promoted in recent years within the “New Age” community, but its origins are actually quite old. I don’t know when and where this theory was first discovered (that sounds like a Sunday evening rabbit hole for me to go down), but I do know that Albert Einstein and Nikola Tesla, who are commonly known as two of the most brilliant scientists of our time, were big proponents of this concept. So for all of you skeptics who think this is too woo-woo, this post is for you!
Let’s start with the basics. Albert Einstein said:
“Everything is Energy and that is all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is physics.”
Nikola Tesla said:
“If you want to find the secrets of the Universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.”
Tesla also said:
“Every living being is an engine geared to the wheelwork of the Universe. Though seemingly affected only by its immediate surroundings, the sphere of external influence extends to infinite distance.”
Okay, I just dropped some profundity on you. So what does all of it mean?
It means that even hundreds of years ago, the scientists and inventors of the world recognized that the secrets of the Universe and the human experience were found in the intangible, the unseen, the mysterious, in the world of energy. Einstein admits to having a “lifelong obsession with invisible forces.” Yet, pragmatics are quick to dismiss the further expansion of these ideas in the New Age community as too “woo-woo.” We are talking about the same unseen forces here. When we learn how to work with the underlying principles of energy, we enter into a world with unlimited potentiality. This “invisible” world is available to all of us once we learn how to access and use its power.
This concept was further tested in the 1990s when experimentation led to dramatic evidence that there is one universal energy field that we are all connected to. (If you are interested in learning more about these experiments and the supernatural results, two books I recommend are: The Divine Matrix by Gregg Braden, and The Field by Lynne McTaggart.)
There is so much more to our reality than what the human eye can see or the human mind can rationalize. To truly embrace living fully in the human experience, we have to include and not exclude the unseen forces at work. Trust me, I was a skeptic once too, but I have stepped into a magical Universe and want everyone else to experience this too!
If you are still reading, then some aspect of yourself is open to this concept. Let’s keep going...
So how does this relate to transformation and change? When we work with energy, and we shift even the smallest thing in one aspect of our lives, we are guaranteed that everything else in the related field shifts as well. Since everything is connected, we see change in our relationships, in our environments, in our finances, in our health, etc. We might focus our intentions on one aspect (usually the problematic aspect) of our lives, but energy healing can’t be compartmentalized. It affects our whole energy body and field.
It also means that others are affected. We cannot grow and change in a vacuum; ripple effects are sent out into the one universal energy field affecting all of humanity. When we do the work on our inner selves, on becoming more whole human beings, of healing wounds and releasing anger, of accepting all and rejecting none, of deep forgiveness for all of our own mistakes as well as forgiving others, of uncovering that one subconscious belief that we aren’t aware of but changes everything for us, we are not only creating massive changes in our own lives but are helping raise the consciousness of the planet. It is an energetic salve that we share with others which inspires them to dive into and clean up their own messes. It is truly a pay-it-forward, butterfly effect which makes you feel good to be alive and participating in something meaningful, to know that we are contributing to the greater good.
Let’s face it, the world isn’t doing so hot these days. What can you do to help the world? You might have an 8-5 job, a family to take care of, big responsibilities, right? Right. So most of us can’t ditch everything to become an activist. But you don’t have to, you only have to Do your own inner work! Stop living a mundane, uninspired, even miserable life that you have been led to believe you have to endure. Discover what truly brings you joy, purpose, passion and make those changes to step into that life. This is not selfishness. On a macro level, this is actually what we are here to do, to make the world a better place… and most of the time (all of the time) that starts with making ourselves the best version of ourselves that we can be.
That’s what we “energy healers” do. We have been trained in various energetic healing modalities that allow us to help people shift their field to create better lives for themselves which creates ripple effects that are beneficial for all of humanity. But we don’t “fix” people. They have to actively participate in their own healing and shifting as well. It is truly a beautiful partnership.
What do you want shifted? Where are you stuck in your life? Where are you in resistance? If we are going to talk about stuckness and resistance, then we have to bring the mind into the conversation.
The human brain is designed to keep us safe. Again, I’m not going to take the time to convince you of this and cite sources. Perform an internet search “how our brains keep us safe” and you will have plenty to read. That is the crux of the problem. Our brain “doing its job”, in an attempt to keep us safe, is a lot of the time (for many people) mistaking positive growth and change as something that will potentially harm us, so we fiiiighhhhttttt it!
Albert Einstein also said: “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results.”
What destructive patterns, harmful behaviors, or even just merely uninspired actions are you perpetuating? You don’t have to stay there, but you most likely do need help to get out of them. Why? Let’s go to another quote by Einstein,
“We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking that created them.”
Wow. When I first heard that one, it hit me like a ton of bricks. Actually, the first time I heard a version of this was in a 12-step meeting twenty years ago when an Oldtimer said, “A broke brain can’t fix a broke brain.” Yes, I have had my share of darkness and soul-wrenching challenges in this lifetime too. This isn’t just theory for me. I’ve had real experience with my own transformation process (a blog for another day).
When we are banging our heads against a wall, when life is throwing at us the same lesson to conquer but we continue to stay in our comfortable misery, then it’s time to ask for help. It’s time to get out of our own heads that try to solve problems with the same thinking that created the problems and ask for help. Our brains are trying to keep us safe and small, telling us that a perceived danger is real (when it’s not).
Here’s a little secret, most of the time our problems aren’t solved by our brains anyway. I know, we in Western society have been taught that the brain is King, and to bow down to intellect. But most of the wisdom is really housed in the body, and most of the energy shifting occurs outside of the conscious mind. It’s a foreign concept to most to live from your heart and not your head, to listen to your body and not your mind, to receive inspiration from Source and not our own limited viewpoints, but try it before you condemn it. I mean, have you? Tried to make changes approaching it from an energetic perspective with someone who has both been through their own transformation, and has been trained on how to assist others with theirs?
And with that, I will leave you with one final quote by William Paley,
“There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance– that principle is contempt prior to investigation.”
To sum it all up: Everything is energy. Everything is connected. To produce true change we must work in the energetic realm in addition to addressing the conscious mind. The Universe is full of unlimited potentiality. Try it before you knock it; you might actually turn out to be a huge fan of woo-woo.
Mic drop.
